Chapter 10 - Healing and Hard Work

Six months passed. The Vance criminal empire was completely dismantled by federal authorities, with Leo and his associates sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The threat that had hung over Rose’s head for nearly a decade was permanently gone.

Jax made a massive decision for his future. He stepped down as the active President of the Iron Wolves MC, passing the leadership gavel to Grizz, though he remained an honored elder of the club. He wanted a quieter life—a life built on creation rather than conflict.

Using his life savings, Jax bought a beautiful, sprawling piece of land just outside of town, opening "The Iron Wolf Garage," a custom motorcycle and classic car restoration shop.

Rose worked right alongside him, managing the business and designing custom paint jobs for the bikes, her artistic talent finally given a place to shine. She looked radiant, the color returned to her cheeks, the constant look of fear in her eyes replaced by absolute peace.

Lily thrived in her new school. She was no longer the frightened little girl in the oversized yellow T-shirt. She wore bright dresses, her hair was beautifully braided, and she was known as the smartest kid in her second-grade class. Every afternoon, the school bus would drop her off directly at the garage.

She would run inside, her backpack bouncing, straight to where Jax was working on an old 1969 chopper.

"Hey, Dad!" she would yell, throwing her arms around his waist.

Jax would smile, wipe the grease from his hands, and lift her up onto his shoulders. "Hey there, princess. How was school?"

The word "Dad" still brought a tear to Jax’s eye every single time she said it. He had never thought he’d have a family, let alone a daughter as beautiful and brave as Lily.
