Chapter 11 - The Wolf's Sanctuary

To celebrate the official grand opening of the garage and their new life, Jax and Rose hosted a massive backyard barbecue on their property. The entire Iron Wolves MC turned up, their shiny choppers lining the driveway like a guard of honor.
Grizz, Hawk, and Doc were there, acting like doting uncles to Lily, who was currently leading a pack of tough, heavily tattooed bikers in a game of tag across the lawn.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky in deep shades of crimson and gold, Jax stood by the outdoor grill, watching the laughter and joy surrounding him.
Rose walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist, leaning her head against his leather vest—which was now completely clean of the dust of the road, save for the faded wolf patch.
"Look at them," Rose murmured, a soft smile on her lips. "We did it, Jax. We’re finally safe."
Jax turned around in her embrace, looking down into her beautiful eyes. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the silver locket she had kept for eight long years. He placed it gently around her neck, snapping it shut.
"We did," Jax said, his voice thick with emotion. He leaned down, pressing his lips to hers in a deep, passionate kiss that sealed a promise of a lifetime of peace.
From the lawn, Lily's voice rang out, clear and full of absolute happiness. "Hey! Look at the sky!"

Everyone looked up. High above the mountains, a cloud formation shaped perfectly like a running wolf appeared against the setting sun. Lily ran over, grabbing both of their hands, squeezing them tightly.
Jax looked down at his daughter, then at his wife, and finally out at his brothers. The road behind him had been dark, bloody, and full of pain, but it had led him exactly where he was meant to be: in the sanctuary of the pack, surrounded by a love that could never be broken.
