Sitting in my office in downtown Austin, I received a phone call from Eleanor.
"He's hit rock bottom, Kesha," she said quietly. "He's drinking, renting a small apartment in Denver, and blaming everyone but himself. But I am not calling to talk about him. I am calling to ask if I might fly to Austin to see the children's school play?"
