Chapter 10 - A New Beginning

On a crisp, golden autumn afternoon, surrounded by our closest friends, family, and medical colleagues, Julian and I stood under an arch of white roses overlooking the ocean.
Leo, dressed in a tiny navy suit, proudly walked down the aisle carrying our rings, beaming from ear to ear as the crowd cheered softly.
When Julian took my hands, his touch was warm, steady, and full of respect.
"Amelia," Julian said, his voice rich with emotion as he looked into my eyes. "I have seen you face the darkest storms with incredible grace and unbreakable strength. I promise to stand beside you as your partner, your equal, and your biggest champion for all the days of my life."
As I placed the ring on his finger, I felt a deep, overwhelming sense of gratitude. The scar on my abdomen remained, a permanent reminder of the nightmare I had survived. But it was no longer a symbol of pain; it was a testament to my resilience, my survival, and the priceless life of the son I loved more than anything in the world.
