Chapter 8 - THE COUNTER-ATTACK
With the original records and the doctor's recorded confession, Daniel returned to Bellhaven. Instead of going to the police right away, he called an emergency meeting of the Whitmore International Board of Directors.
Victoria and Julian were sitting at the head of the table, smiling, believing they were about to vote Daniel out permanently.
Daniel walked in, throwing the stack of original medical documents and the DNA results onto the center of the table. He played Dr. Aris’s audio confession through the boardroom speakers.
The board members gasped in horror as the depth of Victoria and Marcus's criminality was exposed.
"This is a fabrication!" Victoria screamed, her face turning purple. "He's desperate!"

"The FBI is waiting outside, Victoria," Daniel said calmly. "I've already transmitted these files to the federal prosecutor. You, Marcus Vale, and everyone involved in the extortion of Emma Reynolds and the kidnapping of my daughter are going to prison for a very long time."
As federal agents entered the room to handcuff Victoria, Daniel turned his back on her, leaving the corporate world behind without a single regret.
