The DNA results forced the CPS to leave Lily in Daniel’s temporary custody, pending a formal court hearing. However, Victoria and Marcus weren't finished. Desperate to protect themselves from kidnapping and forgery charges, they launched a smear campaign in the media, painting Daniel as an unstable billionaire who bought a child to cope with his grief.

Daniel knew defense wasn't enough. He needed to go on the offensive.

Leaving Lily under the heavy security of Sam’s team and Mrs. Higgins, Daniel drove to the upstate villa of Dr. Aris.

Breaking into the retired doctor's home, Daniel confronted the old man. Dr. Aris, frail and consumed by guilt, broke down weeping within minutes.
