Chapter 9 - Blood and Redemption

Sienna knew she had only one shot. She crept along the upper steel catwalk until she was directly above the main electrical breaker panel. Grabbing a heavy iron pipe left by construction workers, she jammed it directly into the high-voltage transformers.

The entire warehouse exploded into a shower of sparks and total darkness.

"What the hell?!" Salvatore shouted.

In the confusion, Sienna dropped from the low catwalk onto the roof of an SUV, scrambling down to Dawson's side. She used her paring knife—the one she still carried—to furiously saw through his rope restraints.

"Sienna? Are you insane?!" Dawson hissed through his bruised lips.

"Shut up and get ready to move," she whispered back.

The ropes snapped. Dawson stood up just as a flashlight beam illuminated them. Salvatore fired, the bullet grazing Dawson's shoulder.

But Dawson was no longer the restrained captive. He was a predator unleashed.

With a roar of pure fury, he tackled Salvatore into the darkness. The sounds of a brutal struggle echoed through the warehouse. Sienna watched, holding her breath, as muzzle flashes illuminated the grim scene. Dawson fought not just for his life, but for hers. He dismantled Salvatore's remaining men with terrifying, clinical precision.

When the lights flickered back on, Salvatore lay unconscious on the floor. Dawson stood over him, chest heaving, covered in blood that wasn't his own. He dropped his weapon and turned to Sienna.

He didn't say a word. He just collapsed into her arms, burying his face in her neck, weeping silently as the rain poured through the shattered roof.
