Chapter 10 - A New Horizon

The golden rays of the setting sun bathed the living room of 442 Elmwood Terrace in a warm, amber glow. The house was quiet, peaceful, and entirely mine.
I walked over to the dining table—the exact place where my old life had shattered months ago. The heavy oak surface had been polished clean, gleaming under the modern overhead lights. I unscrewed the cap of my favorite pen, pressed the tip against the blank paper, and began to write my very first sentence on a truly clean slate:
Chapter One: The Day I Reclaimed My Life.
