Chapter 9 - A New Dawn in Westchester

Six months later.

The autumn leaves painted the Westchester estate in brilliant shades of gold, crimson, and deep orange.

The front lawn was set up with white silk canopies, small wooden tables, and strings of warm golden fairy lights hanging from the old oak trees.

It was not a underworld gathering, nor was it a cold corporate gala. It was a private, intimate family wedding.

Dr. Hannah Cole stood near the catering table, laughing with Vance, who wore a crisp black tuxedo without his tactical gear for the first time in ten years. Myriad staff members, security personnel, and close friends gathered on the grass, their faces lit with genuine happiness.

Near the garden altar stood Adrien.

He looked striking in a tailored charcoal suit—the same color he always wore, but his posture was completely different. The cold, dangerous aura that used to make strong men tremble had been replaced by a quiet, commanding peace.

Beside him stood his best man: four-year-old Theo, who wore a tiny matching tuxedo and was proudly holding the ring box.

Miles and Nora sat in the front row with Dr. Cole, holding small baskets of flower petals.

The soft melody of a acoustic guitar began to play through the garden speakers.

Everyone stood up.

Walking down the aisle came Sophie, wearing a delicate yellow dress, carrying her old cloth doll—the same doll with the single button eye, now fitted with a brand-new, plush cloth filling and no electronic bugs. She walked with immense pride, scattering white rose petals along the grass.

And behind her came Elena.

She wore an exquisite, simple ivory gown that draped gracefully over her frame, her hair styled in soft waves with fresh flowers woven into the side. She held a bouquet of white peonies, her dark eyes locked onto Adrien as she walked toward him.

When she reached the altar, Adrien took her hands into his. His fingers were steady, his gaze filled with a fierce, unwavering devotion.

"You look breathtaking," Adrien whispered, his voice thick with emotion.

Elena smiled, her eyes shining with tears of joy. "And you look like a man who finally knows how to breathe."

The ceremony was short, sweet, and deeply moving. When the officiant declared them husband and wife, Adrien pulled Elena into his arms and kissed her with a deep, passionate love that made the entire garden erupt into thunderous applause.

Theo, Miles, and Nora cheered loudly, running up to the altar to wrap their little arms around their parents' legs, while Sophie jumped into Adrien's arms, throwing her arms around his neck.

Adrien held his entire family in his arms under the warm autumn sun—his wife, his four children, and a future built on truth and unbreakable love.
