Chapter 10 - The True Harvest

The sun was setting over the Virginia hills, casting a warm, golden glow across the valley. The long dining table on the porch was filled with food—fresh vegetables from the garden, a perfectly cooked roast, and laughter that echoed into the quiet evening.

Arthur sat at the head of the table. To his right was Sarah, who was currently talking animatedly with Vance about her foundation’s upcoming charity gala. Beside her sat Echo, who had flown in from D.C., looking clean and happy, finally enjoying a life outside of the digital shadows.

Arthur watched them, his heart full. He looked down at his hands—the same hands that had once held weapons of war, the same hands that had broken the Sterling dynasty to pieces. Now, those hands were stained only with the dirt of his garden and the warmth of his family.

He realized that his true power wasn't his lethal training at Quantico. It wasn't his ability to take down armies or dismantle criminal empires. His true power was his love for his daughter—a love so fierce that it could move mountains, destroy monsters, and rebuild a broken life from the ashes.

Sarah turned to him, lifting her glass of wine. "A toast," she said, her eyes shining with love. "To the best gardener in the world. And the best dad."

Vance and Echo lifted their glasses, their faces full of respect and affection. "To Arthur."

Arthur smiled, lifting his own glass, clinking it against his daughter’s.

"To family," Arthur said softly. "And to peace."

The storm had passed. The garden was thriving. The old man had protected his most precious bloom, and finally, after a lifetime of war, Arthur Pendelton was home.
