Chapter 10 - THE UNBROKEN LEGACY (EPILOGUE)

Ten years later.
The historic Grand Ballroom of Vale International Headquarters was dressed in white roses, gold lighting, and crystal chandeliers.
It was the sixteenth birthday of Lucas and Leo Vale.
Over three hundred guests—corporate leaders, global dignitaries, close friends, and charity partners—gathered to celebrate the young heirs of the Vale empire.
Lucas and Leo stood near the main stage, wearing sharp tailored tuxedos, looking incredibly handsome, confident, and polite, thanking guests with genuine warmth.
I stood near the entrance, wearing a breathtaking floor-length emerald silk dress, Julian’s hand resting gently and securely around my waist. On my left hand sparkled a simple, exquisite platinum band—the mark of a marriage built on mutual respect, deep love, and unshakeable loyalty.
The Chairman of the Board stepped up to the microphone, raising a crystal glass.
"Ladies and gentlemen," the Chairman announced smoothly. "A toast to Lucas and Leo Vale! And to the extraordinary woman who protected them, raised them, and built an empire that lights the path for millions!"
The crowd raised their glasses, cheering loudly: "To Evelyn! To Lucas and Leo!"
I looked across the room at my sons. Lucas caught my eye and offered a bright, loving wink. Leo smiled warmly, raising his glass toward me.
They knew who they were. They knew where they came from. And they knew that their mother had faced the freezing night, dismantled an empire of greed, and rebuilt a kingdom of love just to keep them safe.
Julian leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss against my temple. "Happy, my love?"
I looked out at my family, my company, and the bright, endless future stretching out before us under the warm crystal lights.

"More than happy, Julian," I whispered, holding his hand tightly. "I am free."
The snow of the past was long melted. The legacy of Evelyn Vale was unbroken, eternal, and absolute.
