Chapter 10 - The Unbroken Circle

Ten years later.

The autumn air over Thornwood Ridge was crisp, clean, and filled with the cheerful hum of a thriving community.

On the sweeping front lawn of Thornwood Manor, a massive white tent had been erected, adorned with twinkling fairy lights and thousands of white roses. Today was a day of celebration—not just for the anniversary of the community sanctuary, but for a wedding that had been ten years in the making.

Under the grand portico where the old, rotting doors used to hang crookedly, a fifteen-year-old brilliant, fierce young woman in a stunning emerald dress stood proudly as the maid of honor, holding a bouquet of white lilies.

Mila Parker-Cade smiled brightly as the wedding march began to play softly from the string quartet stationed near the garden fountain.

Down the aisle walked Elena, radiant in a classic ivory gown, her arm linked proudly through Warren’s. Warren wore a sharp charcoal tuxedo, his silver-dusted temples framing a face lined not with the harsh, cold severity of his corporate past, but with the deep, enduring lines of a man who had finally learned how to love and be loved in return.

They stood together before the flower-lined altar, surrounded by the friends, neighbors, and community members whose lives had been saved and uplifted by the sanctuary they had built from the ashes of the old estate.

As the minister pronounced them husband and wife, the applause erupted—warm, joyous, and echoing across the eleven acres of lakefront land that had once been doomed to destruction.

Warren pulled Elena into his arms, kissing her deeply as Mila rushed in to hug them both, the three of them tangled together in an unbreakable embrace.

The old manor stood tall behind them, its bricks strong, its windows shining bright against the afternoon sun, a living testament to the fact that no ruin is ever truly beyond redemption—if someone is only willing to listen when a voice calls out from the dark.
