Chapter 10 - Dawn Over Park Avenue

Three months later.

The morning sun washed over Park Avenue in a brilliant, golden October glow, chasing away the chill of the previous night and warming the polished glass facade of Sterling Tower.

Inside the newly renovated penthouse restaurant on the 58th floor—now proudly bearing a completely new name and management—the atmosphere was light, elegant, and filled with the gentle, soothing sound of a live piano sonata floating through the air.

At a grand piano near the sweeping windows overlooking Central Park, Eileen O'Donnell sat with her back straight, her fingers dancing effortlessly across the ivory keys. Her eyes were bright, clear, and filled with a lifetime of restored memories and hard-won peace.

A few feet away, standing by the window with a cup of wheat coffee in her hand, Meredith watched her with a soft, radiant smile.

She wasn't a trembling waitress anymore. As the newly appointed Chief Director of the Braxton Foundation’s community outreach programs, Meredith was finally doing what she loved—ensuring that every homeless individual, every struggling worker, and every forgotten soul in New York City had a warm meal, a safe bed, and a voice that mattered.

A pair of strong, familiar arms wrapped gently around her waist from behind, resting comfortably against her shoulders. A warm breath brushed against her ear.

"You're staring at her," Psyian murmured, his deep, rich voice carrying a note of quiet amusement.

Meredith leaned back against his solid chest, turning her head slightly to look up at him. The dark, terrifying aura of the mafia-linked billionaire was entirely gone; in its place was a man at peace, his dark eyes shining with deep, unwavering devotion.

"I'm just admiring my work," Meredith teased softly, lifting her right hand. Resting on her ring finger was a stunning, flawless platinum ring set with a single, brilliant diamond, and hanging securely around her neck on a new silver chain was a newly forged, perfectly repaired silver sparrow pendant with its wings spread wide, ready for flight.

Psyian smiled, leaning down to press a soft, lingering kiss against her lips.

"You didn't just save my mother," Psyian whispered against her mouth. "You saved me, too."

Across the room, Eileen finished her piano sonata with a triumphant final chord that echoed gently through the restaurant. She looked over her shoulder, catching her son's eye and the bright, beautiful young woman standing beside him, and she smiled—a warm, knowing smile that told them everything was finally right with the world.
