CHAPTER 1 — THE FREEZE ORDER

The night Andrew threw her out, he thought it was the end of her story.
But it was only the moment her story finally began.
The mansion lights faded behind her car as she drove through the rain-slick streets of the city. Inside the vehicle, silence was heavier than any scream. Her hands rested on the steering wheel—but they were no longer shaking.
She wasn’t crying anymore.
She wasn’t broken anymore.
She was calculating.
When the phone finally connected on the first ring, the voice on the other side didn’t ask questions. It simply said:
“Confirm command.”
She stared at the road ahead.
“Freeze everything. Tonight.”
No hesitation. No emotion.
Just execution.
Within seconds, somewhere across the city, systems that powered Andrew’s empire began to shut down one by one.
Banking access locked.
International transfers halted.
Private accounts frozen.
Board notifications triggered.
Emergency compliance protocols activated.
And a silent digital storm began to rise—one Andrew would not see coming until it was already too late.
Back at the mansion, Andrew was laughing.
“You saw her face?” he said, raising his glass. “She really thought she mattered.”
His mother smiled beside him. His mistress leaned into his arm.
Everyone laughed.
Except the system notifications lighting up his phone.
But he didn’t check them.

Not yet.
And that was his first mistake.
